PGC Gas Chillers

Edwards Polycold® PGC Gas Chiller requires no pre-cooling

Without the need for pre-cooling, this gas chiller lowers compressed dry gases—such as air, argon, or nitrogen—from room temperature to cryogenic temperatures.

PGC Gas Chillers are closed-loop refrigeration units that use a refrigerant to gas tube-in-tube heat exchanger to cool a non-recirculating gas stream.

Using a mixed refrigerant and the Edwards Polycold auto-cascade refrigeration cycle technique, PGC Gas Chillers allow you to cool dry gas to -75°C to -125°C without sacrificing high flow rates.

PGC Gas Chillers are useful for a wide range of tasks, including as rheology, low-temperature material characterization, cold gas venting of vacuum chambers, and electronics thermal testing.

When it comes to cooling a gas stream in the ultra-low temperature range of -75° to -125°C/-103° to -193°F/198 to 148 K, these systems are the most economical options available.
