Both the Bayard-Alpert and Extractor gauges offer highly accurate individually calibrated sensor systems and exchangeable cathodes, which are made possible by hot cathode ionization technology. With its protective barrier welded in place, the Bayard-Alpert sensing system offers a measurement range of 10-2 to 2 x 10-11 mbar (1.5 x 10-11 Torr). The Extractor sensing system significantly reduces X-ray and ion desorption effects and offers a measuring range of 10-4 to 2 x 10-12 mbar (1.5 x 10-12 Torr).
